Save Eli Stone

What can you do NOW to save Eli Stone?

There are plenty different things that you can do while we gather our forces!
First, Get Watching! Get your friends, family, neighbors to tune in to Eli Stone too. More than ever now, it is crucial that we all tune in to watch Eli Stone on TV to send a message to ABC that their is definitely a viable fan base behind the show. Any spike in the ratings will undeniably make the ABC Board reconsider their decision.
Second, you can directly contact ABC to leave them a message about why you think Eli Stone should stay (try to avoid threatening / annoying / spamming them - it would only result in them blocking your ip/e-mail and it would also undermine our credibility)

ABC Site :
Third, you can start signing the online petition sites that we can later use as a proof of the amount of people who are standing behind this decision:
ABC Eli Stone Forum :
Petition Online:
Petition Site :
TV Series Finale :
iPetition :
Petition Spot :
GoPetition :
Fourth, viral sites will be a major turning point in our campaign. It will definitely attract the attention of an increasing population.
Your favorite Forum / Online Social Networking Site - Even if it is unrelated to tv/eli stone, it is very important to get the word out by any means possible.
Digg -
Yahoo Buzz-Up - Yahoo Eli Buzz Up
I understand that this might be annoying and tedious, but in the long run it could be a major asset to have a lot of sites to testify our commitment to the show!
Thank you again!

The Master plan – Phase One: Online Rallying
By admin
Ok, I manage to squeeze in a few hours today to write up a draft master plan of what we can do altogether to make a difference.
After having reviewed some history about canceled shows, ABC’s policies, and the power of the masses, I am fairly sure that we can make our voice heard if we act swiftly and simultaneously; our primary goal at this very moment is to make this website the epicenter of the Eli Stone fanbase. (I am only rallying everyone to this site because there has been no other platform completely devoted to Eli Stone yet, should one better pop up I wouldn’t have any problems rallying there.)
Just a few ideas from Deborah & others on how to rally our fanbase together:

Facebook, Myspace, hi5 & other Social Networks – Try to get your friends to get involved in saving Eli Stone; A lot of people love to spend a few minutes to support a cause… with some chance it might even pique their curiosity to follow the show!
Forums & other types of Message Boards – Those are our most powerful tools; spreading the word about Eli Stone and getting the attention of a much wider audience would tremendously boost the next phases of our agenda. I will try working on a generic message that could help in making our voice better heard.

REMEMBER: We do not want to spam / annoy / disrespect others in this endeavor. Try to make a judgment call before mass mailing your friends / advertise this site on forums, etc… We are trying to save Eli Stone, but we aren’t trying to make enemies in the process J
Best of luck to everyone! If you have any comments / suggestions about this please do not hesitate to ask!

Recycling in a season of giving

It's the holiday season and that means it is the season of charity. I am hoping that this "economic crisis" does not bring out the scrooge in us in this time of giving.

Recycling is an all encompassing term. It might mean the milk jug in your blue bin at the end of your driveway. It might mean making a craft out of a paper towel roll. It might mean using scrap fabric and making and donating a quilt to the linus project. If you havent heard of the Linus Project here is their mission statement copied form their site.
"The Project Linus Mission
Project Linus is comprised of hundreds of local chapters and thousands of volunteers across the United States. Each volunteer and local chapter all work together to help us achieve our mission statement, which states:
First, it is our mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”
Second, it is our mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
Together we have distributed over two million blankets to children in need since our inception in 1995."
Giving handmade blankets to termally ill children, Now that is recycling at it's finest!

Reduce, Reuse, Make Art

I found this new artist Michelle Brand out of the UK. Her art is amazing. She reuses the bottoms of pastic bottles to make these these stunning pieces of art. Check out her website

The following is from her about page...

"The root of my interests lies in sustainable waste management.

At present it has manifested itself into a designer maker practice.

I have designed an aesthetic and decorative fabric from which most people in the
western world would perceive to be waste/rubbish.

The fabric is composed of plastic drinks bottle bases, which have been cut,
sanded and then tagged together.

I love seeing design opportunities where most people only see problems "

I Love Trash

It hit me today, as I was singing every Sesame Street song I knew so lull my little one to sleep, that Oscar the Grouch was the first celebrity recycler. Yes he was a bit grumpy, but he epitomized the phrase "One Man's Trash Is Another Man's Treasure".

Now, we can change our 'tude and shower more often but Oscar should be a role model to us all!

Stop the 18 inch receipt madness

I was at Starbucks the other day ordering my very lengthy but super good coffee, and the lady and behind the counter asked my if I wanted my receipt. I said, "No, but thank you for asking first!"
My purse gets filled with miscellaneous receipts. Receipt for a pack of gum, a receipt for a sub, or 3 stapled together for a return, or whatever. Things I obviously don't need receipts for, things (Like my coffee) that I am not going to return. Why do I need a receipt for my Chinese take out (Lets not even get into how many extra menus are floating around my house, cuz they stick them in everything.) And they have gotten so gosh darn long too. These receipts are now three feet long. You know who is the worst receipt offender, Blockbuster. Three receipts for the movie that you just rented and put together they are as tall as I am! Another Long Receipt offender. CVS Pharmacy. OH MY GOODNESS, they have long receipts! Why are they wasting so much paper? Coupons, Surveys, Sale Reminders, Tings in multiple languages, Total Savings. They junk up my purse until I go through it and it all makes it 's way to be big blue recycle bi. Say no to receipts!

Oh, and while I am ranting... I think that you should be fined for putting flyers underneath my wind shield wipers! You are littering. In my opinion you should get a ticket just as you
wouldl it you threw paper or anything else out the window on the highway.
You know half of them are just thrown on the parking lot. The ones in my car junk up the back seat until they make it home and to my blue bin. Do I look like I am interested in spray tan, dating service or whatever else you are putting on my car? If I am I will come to you and ask you for a brochure. It just annoys me to no end that in the midst of whatever else I am doing juggling (a wiggly 7 month old baby, a $4 coffee, a SoyJoy and my purse Etc) that I have to reach around to grab the junk that has been put under my wipers. Could this be a good form of advertising? I can't imagine. I probably wouldn't buy whatever you were peddling just because I am so annoyed with your solicitation, besides you'd probably give me 18 inch receipt anyway!
Who have you found to be the long receipt offender??
