Stone?

There are plenty different things that you can do while we gather our forces!
First, Get Watching! Get your friends, family, neighbors to tune in to Eli Stone too. More than ever now, it is crucial that we all tune in to watch Eli Stone on TV to send a message to ABC that their is definitely a viable fan base behind the show. Any spike in the ratings will undeniably make the ABC Board reconsider their decision.
Second, you can directly contact ABC to leave them a message about why you think Eli Stone should stay (try to avoid threatening / annoying / spamming them - it would only result in them blocking your ip/e-mail and it would also undermine our credibility)

ABC Site : http://abc.go.com/site/contactus.html?lid=ABCCOMGlobalFooter&lpos=CONTACT
Third, you can start signing the online petition sites that we can later use as a proof of the amount of people who are standing behind this decision:
ABC Eli Stone Forum : http://abc.go.com/primetime/elistone/index?pn=mb&cat=76380&tid=510865
Petition Online: http://www.petitiononline.com/elistone/
Petition Site : http://www.thepetitionsite.com/4/save-eli-stone-a-show-that-is-addicting
TV Series Finale : http://tvseriesfinale.com/articles/eli-stone-petition-%20to-save-the-cancelled-abc-tv-show/
iPetition : http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/elistone/
Petition Spot : http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/saveelistone
GoPetition : http://www.gopetition.com/online/23628.html
Fourth, viral sites will be a major turning point in our campaign. It will definitely attract the attention of an increasing population.
Your favorite Forum / Online Social Networking Site - Even if it is unrelated to tv/eli stone, it is very important to get the word out by any means possible.
Digg - http://digg.com/television/Save_Eli_Stone_2
Yahoo Buzz-Up - Yahoo Eli Buzz Up
I understand that this might be annoying and tedious, but in the long run it could be a major asset to have a lot of sites to testify our commitment to the show!
Thank you again!

RSS
Nov
25
The Master plan – Phase One: Online Rallying
By admin
Ok, I manage to squeeze in a few hours today to write up a draft master plan of what we can do altogether to make a difference.
After having reviewed some history about canceled shows, ABC’s policies, and the power of the masses, I am fairly sure that we can make our voice heard if we act swiftly and simultaneously; our primary goal at this very moment is to make this website the epicenter of the Eli Stone fanbase. (I am only rallying everyone to this site because there has been no other platform completely devoted to Eli Stone yet, should one better pop up I wouldn’t have any problems rallying there.)
Just a few ideas from Deborah & others on how to rally our fanbase together:

Facebook, Myspace, hi5 & other Social Networks – Try to get your friends to get involved in saving Eli Stone; A lot of people love to spend a few minutes to support a cause… with some chance it might even pique their curiosity to follow the show!
Forums & other types of Message Boards – Those are our most powerful tools; spreading the word about Eli Stone and getting the attention of a much wider audience would tremendously boost the next phases of our agenda. I will try working on a generic message that could help in making our voice better heard.

REMEMBER: We do not want to spam / annoy / disrespect others in this endeavor. Try to make a judgment call before mass mailing your friends / advertise this site on forums, etc… We are trying to save Eli Stone, but we aren’t trying to make enemies in the process J
Best of luck to everyone! It might mean the milk jug in your blue bin at the end of your driveway. It might mean making a craft out of a paper towel roll. It might mean using scrap fabric and making and donating a quilt to the linus project. If you havent heard of the Linus Project here is their mission statement copied form their site.

"The Project Linus Mission
Project Linus is comprised of hundreds of local chapters and thousands of volunteers across the United States. Each volunteer and local chapter all work together to help us achieve our mission statement, which states:
First, it is our mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”
Second, it is our mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
Together we have distributed over two million blankets to children in need since our inception in 1995."

Giving handmade blankets to termally ill children, Now that is recycling at it's finest!

Reduce, Reuse, Make Art

I found this new artist Michelle Brand out of the UK. I said, "No, but thank you for asking first!"

My purse gets filled with miscellaneous receipts. Receipt for a pack of gum, a receipt for a sub, or 3 stapled together for a return, or whatever. Things I obviously don't need receipts for, things (Like my coffee) that I am not going to return. Why do I need a receipt for my Chinese take out (Lets not even get into how many extra menus are floating around my house, cuz they stick them in everything.) And they have gotten so gosh darn long too. These receipts are now three feet long. You know who is the worst receipt offender, Blockbuster. Three receipts for the movie that you just rented and put together they are as tall as I am! Another Long Receipt offender. CVS Pharmacy. OH MY GOODNESS, they have long receipts! Why are they wasting so much paper? Coupons, Surveys, Sale Reminders, Tings in multiple languages, Total Savings. They junk up my purse until I go through it and it all makes it 's way to be big blue recycle bi. Say no to receipts!

Oh, and while I am ranting... I think that you should be fined for putting flyers underneath my wind shield wipers! You are littering. In my opinion you should get a ticket just as you

wouldl it you threw paper or anything else out the window on the highway.

You know half of them are just thrown on the parking lot. The ones in my car junk up the back seat until they make it home and to my blue bin. Do I look like I am interested in spray tan, dating service or whatever else you are putting on my car? If I am I will come to you and ask you for a brochure. It just annoys me to no end that in the midst of whatever else I am doing juggling (a wiggly 7 month old baby, a $4 coffee, a SoyJoy and my purse Etc) that I have to reach around to grab the junk that has been put under my wipers. Could this be a good form of advertising? I can't imagine. I probably wouldn't buy whatever you were peddling just because I am so annoyed with your solicitation, besides you'd probably give me 18 inch receipt anyway!

Who have you found to be the long receipt offender??

The Repurposed Building

For years I have known about Quaker Square. I graduated from high school in North East Ohio and my best friend and I would drive over to Quaker Square to shop at all of their cool little stores.

I got to thinking about it the other day. What a great idea. Repurposing a building. It doesn't happen as often as it should. I see so many lifeless former Wal-Marts around. Or level it and rebuild. This is the ultimate in building-repurposing. You can find it in Akron, Ohio, the former Quaker Oat hub. This luxurious hotel has been converted from a behemoth silo that once houses over 1.5 million grain bushels.

It has fantastic ROUND rooms.

The ultimate in repurposed buildings.

The Quaker Square Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Check it out next time you are there or take a look at http://www.quakersquareakron.com/

Voyage of Junk

Where have I been that I only heard about this yesterday...

With 15,000 plastic bottles, an old Cessna fuselage and a whole lot of gumption, marine scientist Dr. Marcus Eriksen and Joel Pashal just arrived in Hawaii from California in order to raise awareness about the land fill type conditions of the Pacific. I am so proud of her essay. I think it is cute and funny and I wanted to share. Sometimes I wonder where she comes up with this stuff. And sometimes I wonder how she totally memorized my coffee order!

"What item Symbolizes Me Most" By Audrey

“Woo hoo!” I shouted gaily as my face lit up like an invention by Mr. Edison. From the expression on my face many would have thought that I had just brought home Olympic gold. I was, instead, headed to the office supply store. The thought of going and finding colored staples, sticky notes, cash registers and an array of sharpies in the colors of the rainbow warmed my heart. As we filed into the car and headed to the Office Supply Wonderland, I was filled with eagerness and excitement. When we got there I grabbed a short yellow cart and raced my mom and my sister to the back wall. There I found colored, parchment, construction and lined papers filled in boxes and packages made of the same material all on the back wall. I thought to myself, “Wow, I am a lot like paper”. The thing that symbolizes me most is a piece of recycled paper, because I feel that I am simple and eco-friendly.

To begin with, I like to think that I am most like a piece of recycled paper because I am plain and simple. One day I was at the swankiest coffee house in town. It was filled with velveteen walls and paisley booths and had some soft jazz playing in the background. My mom and I were there for her usual morning roast. We hopped in line behind a grandpa, three business women, a soccer mom and a couple of construction workers. To top it off the waitress behind the cash register thought that the elderly bald guy who was giving his order was a nuisance for changing his order four times. I hopped out of line and went to the oasis on the other side of the café where a lit cooler was standing with my favorite bottled tea. I pulled out a Ginger Peach Tea and swiftly jumped back in line with my mom. When it was our turn I gave the barista the tea to ring up and my mom stated her lengthy, but simple if you were listening, order. “I’ll take a Venti Half Caff, Non-Fat, Iced Mocha, One pump of Hazelnut and No whip, Please”. The cashier gave my mother a blank stare followed by a dumbfounded look and simply inquired “What?” with a half sarcastic and half annoyed facial expression. I also stood there to the side and saw the barista say to my mother “That order was far more complicated than that of your daughter’s,”. Later, I heard about that one. Obviously, I am most like paper because I am plain and simple.

In addition, I am most like a piece of recycled paper because I am environmentally conscious. For instance, I was at summer camp at Lake Woebogon. It was basically all of these cabins out in the middle of the woods centered around this mighty oak tree. None of my activities involve the coniferous beast Then, I had heard the news from the bottom bunk of our cabin that they were chopping down Mertle. “Who is Mertle,” the top left bunk questioned. “Mertle is the oak,” I thought, at first that I would give my best effort to stick up for that tree, but then I found out that it had a name and it was a done deal right there. So I did a little research on my old, wheezing, monstrosity of a laptop computer and I found out that “Mertle” was where Andrew Jackson had his first home stead. Therefore, I took it upon myself to send a letter to Woebogon city hall with the customized stationary my mom gave me before I left home. The day the builders were supposed to come, instead, the head of the zoning department came and cemented a plaque in front of Mertle that stated that she was an official landmark. Obviously, recycled paper is just like me because we are both environmentally friendly and we like saving trees.

In conclusion, the thing that symbolizes myself the most is a piece of recycled paper because it is simple and it is environmentally friendly. As I picked up a box of 100% recycled paper, my mom rushed after me and stated out of breath “You, my dear, have got some wheels,” I looked down at the paper and I said “Maybe I am a lot like paper, maybe, if only because paper wins 33.333% of the time, in that famous game, too.

I'm feeling like some Autumn Crafts

Oh how I wish I lived where there were beautiful changing fall leaves. But I don't ...

As a kid, I remember going out back and gathering fall leaves and bringing them in to my mom. She would arrange them in between two pieces of wax paper and iron them on a low setting. The wax paper would seal as it heated and would encase the leaves, making a fall leaves place mat.

So as I look around at my palm trees and beach sand and sign, I need to show my daughter the beauty of autumn. I think I will gather the old crayons that I have in hidden drawers, tubs, pouches and cases and make my own leaves.

I take my old crayons in reds, oranges, yellows and greens, pull out my trusty old sharpener and start shaving crayons in all of the fall colors. I pull out my handy dandy wax paper and when my piece of wax paper is covered in shavings, I pull out another piece of wax paper to lay on top of my shavings and iron. All of the pieces of crayon color melt together and mix like autumn colors. Then you cut out leaf shapes and hang them with fishing line from the ceiling or do whatever with them.

Since my girls are Floridians and a cool crisp autumn evening means 70 degree weather, I think tomorrow we will make some crayon leaves and add them to our front door wreath to make us feel like fall.

The Price of Integrity

Ah, recycled paper. It is creeping up into the mainstream. You can find reams of it, boxes of it at most of your local stores.

But ... it is still so flipping expensive. I was at Office Max the other day, getting what else but, some office supplies. I got some envelopes. 30% post consumer was the best that they had and they were 4 something for 50. Not even comparable to the non post consumer kind. What can ya do. So I went for my paper. The 30% post consumer was $5.49 a ream and the 100% recycled $8.99! Yikes!

I even stood there for a minute thinking... Trying to justify... It IS 30%. I mean that's something. Nope, my integrity won, thank goodness, and I signed a heavy sigh and bought the 100%.

The more I thought about this the more I wondered. Is someone making a HUGE profit off of the environmentally conscious? Is it THAT much more labor intensive to make paper out recycled paper as opposed to regular stuff? Or do they see tree huggers and think large profit margin?

For goodness sakes. They don't even need to crop down a tree. OR replant a tree, OR spend the the big bucks advertising that for every tree they are chopping down they are replanting one.

I am glad that recycled products are out there. I just wish people could look at the selection of products and choose recycled more because of that it is and what it means and not avoid it because of the inflated price tag.

I Love Publix

I love Publix. Maybe it's because I lived several years in their hometown of Lakeland, Florida. Maybe it's because my daughter and nephews trick or treated at the founder's son's house. Maybe it's because I saw how they match employee donations to a local Lakeland school. Maybe because their 2 story store in Fort Lauderdale has a cart escalator. Maybe it's because they are always sampling and cooking recipes in store. Maybe because they aren't a big giant super store that makes me feel like I should shop wearing my pedometer. Maybe it's because I read that they are one of the top companies to work for. Maybe because I know a cute story that a friend at work told me about her husband who was the produce manager.

Want to hear it ... My friend's husband was a produce manager at Publix which required him to get up really really early to get to work when the produce arrived. One morning she stirred as her husband fumbled around to get himself together in the dark. He woke her up, "Honey, is there something in my eye?" He took his glasses off and she groggily looked, "No, I don't see anything." He put his glasses back on still fidgeting because his one eye was a blur. She went back to bed. He got to work and asked a fellow employee, "Is there something in my eye?" "No" and he went on about his day, rubbing his left eye asking people if they could see anything wrong. He gets home from work and starts complaining about how his eye was bothering him all day. His wife looks at him puzzled. She stares. He says, "What?" She says, " Do you know you are missing a lens?"

Probably because they have comfortable stores, friendly associates and great deals (Gotta love the buy one get one). But I really think it is because they are opening Greenwise Stores. I have been noticing their selection of Greenwise products growing through the years. (They are the only place around that I can purchase recycled toilet paper, paper towels and napkins). I have also noticed a growing organic section in their produce department, but on Earthday I was poking around the Museum of Discovery and Science and there was a Publix Greenwise booth with samples of organic lemonade and other such yummies. I heard them then tell of a new Greenwise Market! So I went to their website.

http://www.publix.com/wellness/greenwise/stores/Home.do

How exciting!

Yeah! I can't wait til they open one by me!

Walmart buys local

I'm not a big fan of the super-size mega-giant Walmart stores. Well, they aren't really new, but they are new to us. My daughter Audrey loves them. My daughter Amelia loves eatting on Plungo's little tiny feet! And we love the story behind them. Ya gotta love a good entrepreneurial/love story!

Check them out http://www.uglydolls.com/

From their website...

From the creative minds of two love struck artists David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim emerge the Uglydoll family! What started as a drawing of a playful orange character known as Wage has turned into a whole new world of fun! In 2001, when David's soon to be wife and creative partner Sun-Min had to return to Korea, he sent her many "I miss you" letters with his little Wage character drawn at the bottom. Sun-Min sewed Wage into a push doll and sent him to David as a surprise gift. David asked Sun-Min to sew a couple more for the Giant Robot store in Los Angeles and they sold out in one day! A very excited Sun-Min sewed many more and those sold just as fast! Sun-Min and David then began to pull more characters from the Uglyverse, a universe where UGLY meant unique and special, to translate into plush Uglydolls. They both met again at their very first Uglydoll Toy Fair booth (a small 6x6 booth made of felt and wood) in New York, where they would go on to win Toy Of The Year 4 years later!

Diet Coke Necklace

I've noticed it popping up on several blogs lately! Luckily, our county even has mandatory business recycling. (I'm curious as the consequences because I there sure are a lot of businesses that still don't)

I have been known to pick up bottles and cans that I have found in parking lots, put them in my car, only to have them roll around the floor until I take them home and throw them in the recycle bin.

My grandparents don't have ANY recycle pick up at their home in rural Tennessee. I had to be talked out of my filling my suitcase with recyclables this summer and bringing them home with me.

But when I see people deliberately throw things away because of laziness it really irks me. I have a friend who refuses to separate her garbage because she thinks it is so much extra trouble. I get so bent out of shape. "The bins are right next to your garbage shoot, you don't even have to walk outside," I tell her.

My husband has a bad habit of assuming everything goes into the garbage. I take things out and put them in our recycle bin. We have an understanding at this point. If he throws away something that should have gone in the blue bin, I will pull it out of the garbage and give him the stink eye. He knows what that means. It means start running, because our understanding is that if he threw away a recyclable then I get to throw it at him. Plastic is not so bad, even diet coke cans, but if he throws a glass bottle in the garbage I will look up at him and he smiles the -uh-oh-I-did-something-bad smile and says"Oh Crap!" and he takes off running.

Sit Bag Recycled Suitcase chairs

From Maybe design. It is still in the development phase. It does still get damaged by water/rain, and that is a bummer because they also include two strategicly place water holding devices. (So you don't have to carry plastic bottles with you, of course). It will hold enough power o charge your cell phone or ipod.

So I guess when you get thirsty you reach into your shirt and drain one boob??

I just don't understand.

Was there a calling for this?

I also read that this company is developing a reputation for innovative, eco-friendly lingerie. They have already made bras that turn into a reusable shopping bag, and a bra designed to encourage the use of reusable chopsticks.

Well... I really appreciate the innovation. But this invention leaves me saying ... "Uhm, Ok."

Again I ask, were we looking for such products?

I can just picture it...

"Paper or Plastic, Miss?" "Oh, neither." Did we as mankind have anything to do with it?

My short answer : Does it matter?

My long answer: Taking the time and the energy to be neater, cleaner people on this planet could not possibly be a bad thing. Does it matter the reason that you are buying recycled products and composting? It couldn’t hurt. You are reducing your waste, does it really matter why? You are reusing whenever you can, could that ever be an issue? You have started recycling everywhere you go, could that in any way be a problem? Shopping your local fruit farm or market? What’s wrong with that?
The way I see it, these are all healthy good habits to be in regardless of your reasons for doing it. Even, if you believe it is a conspiracy and all of the researchers and scientist are phony, does that mean it is a bad idea to starve a landfill? Or to eat things that aren’t covered in pesticides? Or to turn off your lights when you leave a room?
I just can’t see where any of this political finger pointing matters. Didn’t we learn in kindergarten that if you make a mess, you need to clean it up? Being a responsible person should carry over to how you live your life, in your home, in your neighborhood, on your planet. So be responsible, for no other reason than you should. It’s the right thing to do.

So go ahead and buy a hybrid, starve a landfill, shop for solar panels and look for things made from recycled goods (like www.repurposed4you.com’s line of handmade recycled art). After all, as long as we are thinking first about what we do, consume and waste, regardless of your political or scientific affiliation, how can we go wrong?

Christmas Gift Wrap Contest Winner

*****Christmas Gift Wrap Contest Winner*****
We posed a Question Last month...
What do you do with all of your left over Christmas wrapping paper?
Some ideas are..
* Mat a Xmas Picture on it
* Make a paper chain for your tree
* Make party hats
* Start a fire in your fireplace
* Cover your plants during a frost
* Make Paper Dolls
* Stuff in hats to keep their shape
* Shred and use to pack breakables
* Wrap around your ornaments for packing
* Shred & fill gift bags without tissue paper

and our favorite suggestion was submitted by Peggy Pierpoint of Big Sandy Tennessee. She wins for her Decopaged Glass Plates made with Recycled Wrapping Paper!

Here is how you make these decorative and festive Holiday Plates...
Cut out pictures from your paper. (Xmas cards also work) paint on Modge Podge or watered down Elmers to the picture part of your paper and adhere to the backside of a clear glass plate (think thrift stores or Goodwill for those) so that the pic showsthrough to the front. Ad another layer of adhesive to the back of the pic for reinforcement. Smooth all of the bubbles out. Let it dry. Now you can flip the plate upside down and spray paint the entire back of the plate to give extra support and a finished look. These plates are not dishwasher safe and you should only hand wash the top, but they make great cookie trays, hostess gifts or room decor. There are many variations on this Idea. We used silver spray paint, but any color will do. Use your Imagination. And Congrats Peggy!
Our runner up was one of our own artists, Fran, who took a piece of old barn siding, then took wrapping paper and cut out each image that she wanted 5 times. She then hot glued and stacked the images making a 3-D effect. She arranged them to make a 3-D Winter Scene. Very Rustic, very charming.

Looking for Artists

www.Repurposed4you.com is looking for Artists to showcase and sell their handmade recycled, repurposed and reclaimed goods!

Contact info@repurposed4you.com for more information

Repurposed4you.com's Artist of the Month

Our Artist of the month is Ann Harmon!

Ann just joined www.Repurposed4you.com in November. Black Thursday. Not the famed best shopping day of the year, where retailers open at 4 am and sale catalogs weigh 5 pounds a piece. But the infamous anniversary of that fateful day that took us into the Great Depression.
I am not a political analyst touting the cautions and comparisons to our times and those that lead up to that dark day. I really pay no mind to the issues that flood the internet linking the Depression to present day concerns. However, there is one thing that caught my attention as I sat down to write my “Green Christmas Tips “article for the www.repurposed4you.com newsletter. I couldn’t get this thought out of my head. Did Grandma start going green in the 1930’s and no one noticed?
The Great Depression was a terrible time in our history, full of homelessness, joblessness and poverty. To my amazing discovery, it was also a time of being frugal, being thrifty and going green. The environment wasn’t the issue. Al Gore wasn’t standing on his 100% post-consumer recycled soap box warning of doom and gloom. It wasn’t an option to reuse items. There weren’t green stores, green art and green articles teaching us how to be more green. There wasn’t this type of save the earth mentality that made people change their ways. But instead the Great Depression was a time of conservation based out of necessity.
"Repair, reuse, make do, and don't throw anything away" was a motto during the Great Depression. Look how far we have come. Look how gone to the other extreme. Is it only the” tree huggers” and the “environmentalists” that see the usefulness in that phrase today. That slogan could easily be on any Eco Friendly Website and no one would know that it was regularly tossed around in homes 70 plus years ago.
Their green behavior is clear; their environmentally sound practices are shown through their resourcefulness. These lessons that they taught their kids have since gotten lost in an age of waste. Grandma became the nutty one for reusing cloth ribbon on her packages and neatly folding her gift wrap and saving it for the following holiday. And we became so superior for showing her how we can mindlessly discard anything that isn’t shiny and new any longer. Remember, Grandma was the one who wore dresses and sometimes even undergarments made out of feed bags and flour sacks because her mom wouldn’t toss out the colorful cotton. Our grandparents were taught that once socks could not be patched any longer they could be tied to the end of a long handle to become a mop. Glass jelly jars became everyday drinking glasses, geese would have their bellies plucked for the family to have a softer bed and oh, those beautiful handmade quilts and rugs made from worn out clothing. Everything outdoors became the kid’s entertainment. The garden was their grocery store. There was no thought to how much pesticide was on the produce or how much fuel it took to ship it across the country to your local neighborhood market. The electricity was limited to illumining the house at night, if that, and not for mindless hours of television, video games and lighting rooms we aren’t even in. They composted. They recycled. They did the things everyday that we pat ourselves on the back for; Repurposing, Reusing and Recycling. They were the first environmentalists, without even knowing it.
Every “Going Green” Holiday article you will read this season will tell you to start folding your paper to save it for next year like it is a new concept. Remember, Grandma still does this now. This is not a new concept. Grandma may have had this one right. And you never know she might just be right about her bee hive making a come back too.

Contest Details

"Check out the Repurposed4you.com new contest!

Do you Repurpose? It is something that you will cherish as you set your Thanksgiving Table. I bought a large table cloth (large clean, flat sheet from a thrift store would do nicely, but make sure it isn't too full of texture) and left a wash-proof, permanent colored marker at everyone's place setting.
Some time during dinner they write on the table cloth what they are thankful for, their name and the year. It is washable so you can still get those gravy stains out, but the marker isn't.

Each year, with different guests and family members the table cloth gets more and more colorful and sentimental. I, of course, encourage the Thanksgiving Hand Turkeys too!

Be Creative, Cherish Silly, Recycle, Be Thankful
www.repurposed4you.com

Wonky

"You Spin me right round baby right round like a record baby right round, round round" was the song that all the records gathered around the jukebox in the Turnsville Soda Shop to listen to.But it was not always that happy, oh no a long long time ago it was far worse.

One day a little record, let's call him Wonky, learned how to turn on a turn table and play music at the same time. What a multi-tasker! Anywhoo,Wonky wanted to do something special for his girlfriend because it was their fourth anniversary together. So he went to Google and typed in green gifts. After all he remembers her saying she loved the color green. Well he found Repurposed4you.com (repurposed treasures for you and your home) for you that had qwerty keys on it and he bought it for the low low price of eight ninety-five. He wanted to do more for her since she was quote "extra special" so he found a pop-up about the beautiful, extravagant, (and any other positive adjetives you could think of) Island of the Spinners. So he bought the package including air fare.

Once they arrived, they went to check into the hotel and then they took a romantic stroll around the beach, but to Wonky and Wonkette's (Wonky's girlfriend) surprise it was 105 degrees outside. And all the records that were sunbathing . . . . . melted.

Wonky and Wonkette rolled quickly back to the hotel and floored it right to their room. Wonky unhesitantly picked up the phone and called Audrey from repurposed4you.com. She said that she would be right over. She said that there was no hope for the melted records except (here is where the story turns around) she could make them into bowls.

So we named the bowls after the brave record that acted to save the environment. And they lived happily ever after. And by the way Wonkette loved her qwerty keys.

This is a narrative story because records can not type or dial numbers on a phone.

Repurposed4you.com Saves And Salvages One Keyboard At A Time

Repurposed4you.com is saving old junked up keyboards and turning them into magnificent magnets. Why do they do this you ask? Did your grandparents ever tell you the story of KeyLand? Well it's a magical story and you blog readers are going to hear it if you read on(which you should).

In KeyLand all the little keys live a happy life. Their day starts out by going to typing lessons. They go to chorus and learn about key notes. Then they go to Study Hall and dream about going out with the mouse next door. Then comes reading. The "A" key gets an A+. They grow up they go and hang out with the wrong doers like "F" and "D". And that's when everything goes to crap in KeyLand.

All they do is grow up to be plugged into a computer and get pressed on everyday. The Keyberts are discarded when the new styles arrive. There is no more use for them. The relationship of the keyboard and laptop gets oblitereated and for the laptop, the plug is pulled. The poor keys get wound up in the trecherous Waste Stream.

Repurposed4you.com feels bad for those keys and the keys get repurposed. The Keyberts get Extreme Makeover Keybert Edition. They get to become magnets and instead going out with the mouse, they are sticking to the refridgerator. So that is the story of the Keyberts and KeyLand.
